We are pleased to announce that our Ashwin Nair has authored the Australian chapter of the International Comparative Legal Guides (ICLG) – Shipping Law 2026, recently published by the Global Legal Group.
The guide is a concise reference outlining the maritime and shipping legal framework across 30 jurisdictions around the world. The Australia chapter summarises several key areas of shipping and maritime law in Australia, including arrest and security, cargo claims, passenger claims, and related aspects of evidence and procedure, international arbitration, and enforcement of foreign judgments.
Referring to last year’s chapter, clients have indicated that they found it a useful tool to quickly grasp the main principles and practices in Australia, which then assists with obtaining specific advice and developing strategy in both front-end and back-end matters. We’re pleased to have contributed once again to this year’s chapter.
